At just three feet square, Waves of Citrine and Azure Whispers carries the weight of a tempest in miniature. Painted with my signature thread-based Organic Movement technique, this work juxtaposes the warm luminosity of citrine with the fluid cool of azure—each layer pulled, dragged, and suspended through oil-soaked thread.
The painting evolved from a desire to explore what happens when control surrenders to motion. Every arc and sweep is the product of both physical intention and material spontaneity. You can see the feathering of fibers where light catches the ridges, and feel the motion in each twisted line—a kind of visual choreography embedded in paint.
This piece is inspired by coastal skies and fleeting weather—those moments where storms don’t so much break as they dissolve into quiet clarity. The painting breathes with a rhythm between containment and release.
