At 30x30 inches, Golden Fanrise Over Ember Prism is a bold expression within my Organic Movement Collection, created through my signature thread painting technique. The work unfurls like a radiant fan of golden light rising against an ember-toned prism, its dynamic arcs of color revealing both fragility and power.

The movement of paint, pulled not with a brush but with thread, generates intricate striations that echo natural rhythms—winds shifting, flames bending, waves cresting. The orange ground provides a vibrant stage for golden and cobalt tones, where each stroke seems suspended between precision and spontaneity.

In conversation with contemporary abstraction, this work resonates with the gestural freedom of artists like Katharina Grosse, whose color fields consume space with immersive energy, and Mark Bradford, who layers materiality into forms that hover between chaos and order. Like theirs, my practice seeks a balance between surrendering to process and guiding form toward emergence.

The painting’s fanlike structure suggests both expansion and containment, an opening gesture that draws viewers into a meditative encounter. By working with thread as a tool, I am able to let the canvas hold memory—tiny ridges and grooves that catch light differently throughout the day, turning each viewing into a new experience.

Golden Fanrise Over Ember Prism is not just an object but a living presence: a portal of texture, color, and rhythm that invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and dwell in its unfolding.
