A New Logo, A Timeless Gesture
My new logo is more than a design — it’s a symbol of painting with thread by hand, inspired by the expressive mudras of South Indian classical dance, where every gesture carries emotion.
I am delighted to reveal my new logo — a design that carries within it the essence of my artistic practice and the traditions that inspire me. More than a visual mark, it is a statement of values: art created by hand, with emotion, and rooted in timeless human gestures.
The logo was born from the idea of painting with thread, a technique that I have embraced as part of my journey into abstraction. The flowing lines represent the movement of the hand as it weaves and paints, emphasizing that my work is crafted, not generated. At a time when much of the conversation around art is about machines and artificial intelligence, I wanted my symbol to reaffirm something essential — that art, at its core, is a human act of touch, presence, and emotion.
The design also draws deeply from mudras, the expressive hand gestures used in South Indian classical dance traditions such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. In these art forms, a single hand gesture can embody joy, sorrow, love, devotion, or longing. Mudras are a language of the body, where meaning transcends words and emotion flows directly from the dancer to the audience. As a painter, I feel a kinship with this tradition. My brush — or in my case, the thread — becomes the extension of the hand, translating emotion into form, movement into stillness, and memory into color.
The golden circle in the logo signifies the eternal spark of creativity — a sun of inspiration that connects all artists across time and culture. It is both personal and universal, reminding me that each act of creation participates in a larger, timeless continuum of human expression.
Unveiling this logo feels like an affirmation: of my commitment to art as a living, breathing practice. It is a gesture of the hand, a mark of emotion, and a reminder that the true power of art lies not in technology, but in the depth of human feeling.
