Silent Veil of Arctic Current – Organic Movement in Blue

Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 3ft x 3ft
Creation Date: 2025
Collection: Organic Movement

This 3x3 ft oil on canvas is part of my Organic Movement collection, where motion, emotion, and the natural world intersect. Silent Veil of Arctic Current emerged from a meditation on ice, water, and light—those fleeting, impermanent forms that appear solid yet shift moment to moment. The veil-like sweep in the composition was created using my signature thread-painting technique, allowing the oil to capture not just form, but the flow of time within each mark.

The chromatic palette—cool arctic blues, deep indigos, and layered whites—creates both contrast and harmony, reminiscent of Zaria Forman’s atmospheric landscapes yet grounded in an abstract language closer to Clyfford Still’s monumental fields. The layered background patterns add depth and a sense of submerged structures, echoing the unseen frameworks that underlie natural motion.

In this work, the surface reads like a topography of water and wind, with threads of light guiding the eye upward and across. Each stroke carries physical memory, a trace of both deliberate control and spontaneous release. This is the essence of the Organic Movement—a tension between the planned and the unpredictable, between permanence and transience.

For collectors, Silent Veil of Arctic Current offers more than an image—it’s an experience of entering a moving, breathing environment. Positioned in a space with soft, angled lighting, the painting shifts character throughout the day, mirroring the changing temperatures and tonalities of the world outside.

If you’d like to view Silent Veil of Artic Current in person or discuss a commission within the Organic Movement framework, I invite you to start the conversation.

After 30 years as an executive and entrepreneur, I returned to painting full-time to explore what words and strategy couldn’t hold. I create bold, expressive abstract art to shift how we see and feel—opening space for reflection, connection, and quiet transformation. For me, change begins not with certainty, but with listening.
