Shiva (2021) is a visual invocation — a tribute to the cosmic dance between creation and destruction. Part of the Geometric Splendor Collection, this 72 x 60 inch mixed media painting channels the energy of transformation through rhythmic form, color, and texture.

Inspired by the Hindu deity known as the destroyer and regenerator, Shiva does not portray a figure but radiates a presence. Circles and sharp-edged lines move in tension and balance — a geometry that doesn’t confine but pulses with life. The composition feels like breath and fire, silence and sound.

Metallic accents shimmer beneath matte layers, hinting at something sacred. The canvas feels ceremonial — a place where boundaries dissolve. Crimson, cobalt, charcoal, and gold weave into each other like mantras repeated in pigment.

This work aligns with the conceptual spirituality of Anish Kapoor, though my materials remain tactile and gestural. Like Kapoor, I believe abstraction can hold the sacred — that visual form can invoke the invisible.

Shiva is not a painting of devotion. It is a painting in devotion — to change, to rhythm, to what comes after the end.

As part of the Geometric Splendor Collection, this work marks a convergence of discipline and surrender. Structure becomes a vessel. The surface vibrates with opposites — permanence and impermanence, balance and rupture. It is not static. It is a moving stillness.
